Aiden Thompson, a young legend in the making, left us too soon on January 14, 2025, at the age of 17. Born on September 9, 2007, Aiden was the kind of kid who could make even a rock laugh. With a personality that lit up every room he entered—he quickly became the go-to guy for fun.
Aiden was not only an awesome brother; he was practically a superhero in sibling form. In the world of family wrestling, he had mastered the fine art of taking down anyone who dared challenge him, including his dad and brother, both of whom inevitably regretted their life choices after a match with him. Aiden’s wit was as sharp as a double-edged sword which he wielded with finesse.
As an athlete, Aiden was nothing short of exceptional. He could sprint like he was being chased by a swarm of bees, play baseball with the finesse of a seasoned pro, and shoot hoops like no one’s business. But he also loved to relax and flex his talent for video games.
Aiden cared deeply for those around him. He was loved by all. Whether he was supporting teammates on the field or ready with a quick joke to lighten the mood, Aiden had an amazing knack for brightening the days of those around him.
Aiden is survived by his father, Devin Thompson and Megan; mother, Cassandra Rojas; brother, Dominic Gasca, Brooks Haynes, Nathaniel Thompson, Kashton Gasca; sister, Alivia Thompson who shared a very close bond with Aiden; grandparents, Billie and Billy Swope, Tina Rojas, Jonathan and Cathy Haynes; great-grandparents, James and Barbara Haynes; aunts and uncles, Ariel Rojas, Randy and Pam Cole, Ricky and Kristin Cole; girlfriend, Amelia Sublett.
He is preceded in death by his grandparent, Sherry Allen.
To say that Aiden will be missed would be an understatement. His legacy of laughter, athleticism, and the gentle ribbing of loved ones will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever. So here’s to you, Aiden Thompson: may you run among the clouds and keep the angels laughing!
