Ardith Lankford

Ardith "Genell" Lankford, age 84, of Point, passed away Sunday, August 20, 2017, at Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 23, 2017, at First Baptist Church of Point with Bro. Zack Honzell officiating. Interment will follow in Lone Star Cemetery in Point.

Genell was born on December 20, 1932 in Point to John Wesley and Dessie Garrett Watts. She married Thomas "Dud" Lankford in Point on June 3, 1950. She cherished her job all her life as homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. She was a longtime member and Sunday school teacher at First Baptist Church of Point and a member of Rains County Genealogy Society.

Survivors include:
2 Sons: Michael & Gay Lankford of Rockwall and Steve and Darlene Lankford of Allen;

1 Daughter: Lisa and Stacie Harris of Rockwall;

Grandchildren: Jeff Lankford, Tim Lankford, Jason Lankford and Kevin Lankford;

Great-grandchildren: Boston, Alexa, Miller, Trek, Baker and Jude;

Numerous other loving family and friends
