Audrey Hill

Funeral service for Audrey Ellece Hill, age 87, of Alba, will be held Monday, Sept. 15, 2014, 11:00 am, at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Robert Burns and Bro. Wayne Wolfe will officiate. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon, from 3:00-5:00 pm, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hill died Thursday evening, in Tyler, at Mother Frances Hospital.
She was born June 16, 1927, in Ashdown, AR, to Erven S. and Ola May Williams Brummett.
She graduated high school in Alba.
Later, Audrey married Jodie M. Hill, on Sept. 30, 1949, in Emory.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Audrey was in a singing group, along with Mary Chastain and Garth Looney for many years. They would sing at meetings, churches, funerals, where ever they were invited or volunteered to sing.
She had a most beautiful voice, and loved singing the gospel in song. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.
Survivors include: Sons, Joe H. Hill (Kellie) of Alba, and Pat H. Hill, also of Alba
Brother: Jesse Brummett (Nan) of Mineola
Grandchildren: Melody Godfrey, Sherree Latham, and John Hill
Great-grandchildren: Taylor Pruitt, Turner Latham, Madison Hill,
McKena Hill, and Sam Godfrey
Numerous other loving family and a host of friends
Preceded in death by: Parents, Husband in 2004, 1 sister, Marie Henley, and beloved great-grandson, Wesley Pruitt in March of 2014
