With a passion for the open road, Bennie embarked on a successful career as a long-haul trucker. His commitment to his work took him to various destinations across the country, allowing him to explore new places and experience the beauty of different landscapes.
Outside of work, Bennie cherished his time spent with loved ones. He met Alice, the love of his life in 1985, and on November 28, 1999, they were married. Their enduring bond and devotion were evident throughout their 38 years together. Their marriage was a testament to the power of love and commitment.
Bennie's pride in his role as a husband extended to his family as well. He loved his siblings and children unconditionally and prioritized creating lasting memories with those he held dear. A man of simple pleasures, Bennie found solace in being out on the lake. Whether it was fishing or simply enjoying nature's serene beauty, the peacefulness of the water brought him joy.
Though his formal education included some college experience, Bennie's true education came from living life fully and cherishing every moment that he had with those around him. His proudest accomplishment was undoubtedly loving his wife and family wholeheartedly for all the years they were given.

A daughter, Tracy Cornue-Hernandez (Michael) of Greenville, Texas.
Sister: Gigi Newton (Austin) of Donna, Texas
11 grandchildren, Kaine, Ethan, Libby, Jason, Bailey, Jordan, Jaxon, Jace, Alison, Milo, and Parker.
Bennie was preceded in death by his parents, and his two sisters Beverly and Brenda Doylene.
