Bobby Jordan, a beloved father, supervisor, and Air Force veteran, passed away on August 15, 2023, at his home in Lone Oak. He was born on November 18, 1959, in Arlington, Texas to parents Robert Jordan and Dolores Jane (Wiggins) Jordan.
Bobby led a fulfilling life that was marked by dedication to both his country and his community. After serving several years in the Air Force, Bobby transitioned to civilian life and found a new purpose working in the water utility departments. His time spent as a supervisor over multiple municipalities allowed him to make a lasting impact on the communities he served. Bobby's commitment to his work was unwavering, and he approached every task with diligence and integrity.
While Bobby was known for his strong work ethic and professionalism, those who knew him best understood that he also possessed a big personality. His larger-than-life presence would light up any room he entered. However, it was within the confines of his own family that Bobby's love truly shone brightest. His daughters were the center of his universe, and he treasured every moment spent with them. Whether it was attending their school events or simply sharing quality time together at home, Bobby cherished being a father above all else.
In his retirement years, Bobby embraced life to the fullest. He had an unexpected affinity for wearing shorts – a departure from his traditional attire during his working days. Those closest to him often found joy in witnessing this humorous transformation. Bobby lived life on his terms and embraced the simple pleasures retirement had to offer.
