Cecil Ray Robertson, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, passed away on April 14, 2025, at the age of 71, in Greenville, Texas. Born on July 14, 1953, to Cecil Albert Robertson and Jorene Robertson (Wilde) in Amarillo, Texas. Cecil lived a life marked by service, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to his family.
Cecil built a remarkable career as an Aircraft Mechanic at E-System, where he devoted more than 32 years of his professional life. His work not only showcased his exceptional skills but also afforded him the opportunity to travel to various countries, including Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
He proudly served in the Army during the Vietnam War, demonstrating his commitment to his country. This character of duty and resilience followed him throughout his life.
Cecil’s proudest accomplishment was his family. Married for over 30 years to Emmalee Robertson (Rasco) until her passing in 2011, he made his wife and children his top priority, never missing a game or significant event in their lives.
He was a man of few words, but when he spoke, it was always with purpose. He embodied attributes of kindness, patience, and reliability, and friends and family alike found comfort in knowing they could always count on him. Cecil cherished the bonds he formed, often sharing joyful memories while watching sports together, especially cheering for his favorite team, the Texas Rangers. Cecil’s fondness for sports was well known amongst his family and friends and could often be found listening to sports radio.
Cecil loved spending his free time in his later years with his grandchildren and great grandchildren who lovingly called him, “Papa Cec”. They kept him young and he could never tell them no and was always up for any adventure that they could think of.
Cecil is survived by his children, Danielle Cartmill and husband Garrett, Mika Robertson and wife Dyanna; grandchildren, Brandon, Savannah, Landon, Jenna, Payton, Easton, Kason, Morgan, Ava; great grandchildren, Alana Josephine, Eliyanna; siblings, Gary Robertson, Larry Robertson, Janet Gatlin as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Emmalee Robertson and his parents, Cecil and Jorene Robertson.
Cecil Robertson will be remembered for his quiet strength, steadfast presence, and enduring love for his family. His legacy will continue through the lives of those he touched and the memories they hold dear.
