Charles "Charley" Eric Bruns, age 50, of Emory, died Sunday, October 25th at his residence.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Charley was born on April 2, 1965, in Decatur, IL, to Ronald Dean and Alice Marie French Bruns. He proudly served our country for 12 years in the U.S. Marine Corps. He married Pearl Marie Davis at Daytona Beach, FL on March 2, 2013. He worked in construction as a general laborer and also had been a truck driver in previous years. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church. He volunteered by traveling around with the NOMADS - "Nomads On a Mission Active in Divine Service". NOMADS provide volunteer labor for United Methodist organizations. Charley enjoyed helping with NOMADS of the Methodist Church and with the other Methodist ministries that he was proud to be a part of. He had a huge, fun, playful, caring, loving and giving heart. His family was very important to him...he loved them very much! He will be greatly missed.
