Charlotte Ann Haren, the matriarch of her family and a rock-solid presence for everyone who knew her, passed away on May 29th, 2023, leaving an unfillable void in the lives of those lucky enough to have known her. Charlotte was born on January 8th, 1952, in Greenville, Texas to parents Douglas Ray Turner and Marena Joyce Turner. She grew up to be a remarkable woman who devoted herself to her family with fierce loyalty and love.
Charlotte was described as the one that you could always go to. Her kind and compassionate heart made her the perfect person to turn to when anyone needed guidance or support. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, and nana. For years she had worked in customer service with dedication and hard work before eventually retiring. Her love for people shone through when it came to working with customers.
When Charlotte wasn't at work or taking care of her loved ones, she enjoyed a good book or movie – a passion so strong that it earned her the title of "movie buff." Many weekends were spent outside tending to her lawn and plants or spending hours in the kitchen cooking and baking for everyone she loved.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Carl Haren; three children: Fred "Lee" Lealand Stevens III and wife Tammy, Pamela Gordon and husband Ernie, Michelle Sanders and husband Paul; grandchildren: Angel, Brianna, Zakary, Dalton, Scott, Aislynn, Rawley, Stephen, Dylan, Matthew and Conner; numerous great-grandchildren; sister Kathy Ainsworth and husband Robert; brother Eddy Turner and wife Trena. Also not forgotten is Charlotte's best friend, her dog Scarlett- a happy member of their loving family.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, brother James Turner, niece Clisha Ann Hendry, and her nephew Kaden Turner.
Charlotte was a true treasure who will be missed by all who knew her. In commemoration of a life exceptionally lived let us all learn from Charlotte’s example of selfLESSness whether it be shown towards friends or strangers alike. May she rest forevermore in God's eternal embrace.
