Debra Kay Gabbard

Memorial service for Kay Gabbard, age 68, of Point, will be held at Point Church of Christ Saturday, August 20 at 11:00 am.  Minister Richard Kellam officiating.

Kay was born on September 19, 1953, to James Rafford Stibbens and Tommie Yarbrough in DeSoto, Texas. She passed on August 11, 2022, in Point, Texas.

Kay loved her family and was loved by her family and her church family.  She was called Nana and Granny Kay.  She also loved her many animals.

She is survived by her son, Leslie Short and wife April; daughters, Mandy Short and Erica Yanger and husband Julian; grandchildren, Brittany Castillo, Crystal Short, Robert Speer, Kyle Short, Kobe Jennings, Kaylani McKinney, Kenleigh Yanger, Nicholas Clack and Hunter Clack; great-grandchildren, Britain, Jamie, Lyric and aphelia; sister, Rama Farmer and husband Anthony.  She was loved by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Kay is preceded in death by her parents, James and Tommie Stibbens; brother, James Rafford Stibbens (Bo); nephew, Anthony Farmer Jr.; niece, Amy Stibbens.
