Funeral service for Donald Harvey Cross, age 67, of Emory, will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, Sept. 11, 2015, at First Assembly of God Church, in Emory. Bro. Montie Parker will officiate the funeral service at the church, and Bro. Mike Fletcher will conduct the graveside service.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at 10:00 am, at the church. Interment will follow in Woosley Cemetery.
Mr. Cross passed away in Mother Frances Hospital, in Tyler, Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015, from complications after heart surgery.
Mr. Cross was born Nov. 7, 1947, in Ft. Myers, FL, to Hayward and Margaret Waldron Cross.
He was a rodeo cowboy who was a member of Florida Cattleman's Assoc.; I.P.R.A.; P.R.C.A.; F.C.A.; and the U.S.T.P.A.
He, also, was a cattle rancher.
He married Lana Alexis Austin in Ocala, FL on Jan. 5, 1993.
Survivors include: Wife: Lana Cross of Emory;
Daughters: Anita Cross Bryant (Langley) of Andalusia, AL; Margaret (Sissie) Cross Wherrell (Ronnie) of Blanchard, OK; and Lauren Alford of Silver Springs, FL
Son: Rusty Willis (Connie) of Ocala, FL
Grandchildren: Rachel; Melissa; D.L.; Emily; Sara; Landon; Morgan; and Canyon
Great-grandchildren: 8
