Donna Kirkpatrick was born May 13, 1940 in Emory, TX to Woodrow Carson Asbill and Wanda (Yarborough) Asbill. She married the love of her life, Gerald Kirkpatrick on June 22, 1956.  He proceeded her in death in 2018.

She worked for Haggar Slacks for many years.  She also worked for Karen Young (her dear friend) at Country Flowers and Gifts for several years.  The job she loved the most was being  Mom, Granny and Gran Gran.  She was her children’s biggest supporter while they were growing up and involved in various activities.  She sewed drill team uniforms, cheer uniforms, worked concession stands, kept baseball record books, and cheered them on in whatever activity they were involved in at the time.  Her supportive spirit was still alive in the activities of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Donna loved to fish.  Donna and Gerald spent many hours on the lake fishing.  Donna was known to all of her family and friends as the best fish fryer around. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren would stand around eagerly waiting for the fish to fry.  Granny/Gran Gran would always  “sneak” them pieces while telling everyone else they had to wait. She loved to travel.  She and Gerald would often travel with friends and family.  They all shared many wonderful memories together.

Survivors include her daughters, Deborah Traylor and husband, Randy, Sandy Lovvorn and husband, Robert; son, Kenneth Kirkpatrick and wife, Tonja; grandchildren, Clint Traylor and wife, Alicia, Stacy Smith and husband, Justin, Tera Bell and husband, Bryan, Justin Lovvorn and wife, Nichole, Daniel Wrysinski, Candace Dominguez and husband, Ed, Savanna Christian and husband, Eric, Sierra Kirkpatrick, Michelle Richey, Neal Richey and wife, Rose, Amber Reagan and husband, Jeremy, Taylor Knight; twenty-five great-grandchildren; brother, Roger Asbill; brother-in-law, James Ratliff; sisters-in-law, Faye Asbill, Delois Spence and husband, Roy, Martha Kirkpatrick, and Ann Kirkpatrick.
