A celebration of life for Doug Jones, 70, will be held on December 11, 2023, at Wilson - Orwosky Funeral Home in Emory, TX at 10:00 A.M.

Doug Jones, a charismatic and adventurous soul who owned his own company buying and selling heavy equipment, passed away on December 5, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones in Point, TX. He was born on June 20, 1953, in Lansing, MI to parents Paul John Jones and Edna Myers.

He is survived by his wife, Karen Jones; daughter, Janet (Ross) McNeil; grandsons, Colby (Lisa) and Chevy Jones; great grandchildren, Paul and Clayton Jones; a special cousin, Gary Alspaugh; sister, Frances Pemberton; 4 brothers, Fred Huey, Lorenzo Huey, David Jones, and Terry (Brenda) Jones; mother-in-law, Ruamy Beach; brother-in-laws, Ed (Cathy) Beach and Dale Beach and sister-in-laws, Sandra Barr, Nancy (Greg) Edwards, Sue Beach, and Daisy Wiseman and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his son, Paul Jones; father-in-law, Mark Beach; sister-in-law, Nancy Huey; and mother, Edna Myers.

Doug found solace and excitement in the great outdoors. Hunting was not merely a pastime for him; it became an art form. He took immense pride in the mounts he acquired from his successful hunts and adorned his walls with beautiful reminders of his outdoor adventures. To witness Doug meticulously restore these trophies to their former glory was a marvel not soon forgotten.

Doug Jones leaves behind a legacy marked by his unyielding tenacity, love for adventure, and dedication to those who mattered most to him. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all those fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him. May his memory forever be cherished as we celebrate the extraordinary life he lived.
