Earnestine “Tena” Dittman Florez peacefully passed away at the age of 86 on June 8, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and faith.
Tena was born on March 14, 1938, in Emory, Texas to James “Ned” Dittman and Sally Ray Dittman. Throughout her life, she exemplified unwavering devotion to her loved ones, a quality that defined her character.
Tena is survived by her loving daughter, Charlotte Stewart (Ronnie Bednar) of Emory. Her presence will be deeply missed by her grandson, Shane Nunn (Bree), and granddaughter, Felicia Stewart, both of Emory, whom she adored beyond measure.
Among those who mourn her passing are her brother, James Dittman; sisters Fannie Hill of Emory and Joyce Smith of Sulphur Springs. Additionally, Tena leaves behind three great-grandchildren. She will also be remembered fondly by her niece and nephews.
Tena’s faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she was a devoted member of Lake Fork Baptist Church. Her kindness, compassion, and unwavering faith were a source of strength and inspiration to all who knew her.
Tena was preceded in death by her parents, her sons, Robert and Dean Robertson, her sister, Thomasene Payne, and her brother, Jack Dittman. While her physical presence may be gone, her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
