Edward "EdKar" Penney Jr., passed away peacefully at his home in Emory Texas, on June 29, 2024. Born on December 16, 1952, in Dallas, Texas to Edward Edkar Penney Sr. and Lora Penney, Ed leaves behind a legacy of hard work, love, and devotion. Ed resided in Garland, Texas for 67 years prior to moving to Emory, Texas. Ed was known for his dedication to the A/C business.
Throughout his career, Ed worked alongside his father, eventually owning his own business in the A/C industry his expertise even led him to consult for major companies in the field. Colleagues and clients alike respected Ed for his quiet demeanor and unwavering commitment to his work.
Beyond his professional life, Ed's true joy came from his family. He was a loving husband and father, but it was when he became a grandfather that those who knew him saw a different side of this stoic man. In the presence of his grandchildren, Ed transformed into a soft-hearted soul who cherished every moment spent with them.
Described as an honorable man of few words. He took pride in caring for his wife, Jima Carol Penney, whom he referred to as the love of his life since November 7, 1978. Seeing her happy brought him immense joy, as did watching his grandchildren grow and thrive.
Outside of work and family, Ed found solace in music, particularly enjoying old rock tunes and all genres of country music. A regular visitor to the local library, Ed had a love for reading that knew no bounds - preferring books over television for entertainment. Ed enjoyed Traveling and visiting new places.
As we bid farewell to Ed, we remember him not only for his professional accomplishments but for the love and care he shared with those closest to him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing this dedicated and kind-hearted man. May he rest in peace.
