Francine (Fran) Linnette Hilton passed away at her home on 12/26/2021.
She is survived by her loving husband, Robert M Hilton Jr; son, Robert D Hilton; Granddaughter, Ariana Marie Hilton; sister, Barbara Dianne (Heath) Wallace.
Fran was educated as a nurse at Dallas Baptist University graduating in 1973 with a BSRN. She worked as a nurse at Methodist and VA hospitals in Dallas. She served the community of Rockwall Texas for 11 years as a School Nurse for the Rockwall Independent School District.
Robert felt that she was “the most beautiful woman he had ever seen” as she walked down the aisle on their wedding day. He loved and supported her through thick and thin-for better or worse, richer or poorer, until death did they part.
To be clear, Fran lived life “her way.” She could be tacky, sassy, kick-assy or classy depending on the day! She could dish out trash talk with the best of ‘em. She loved to tell bawdy jokes, put on skits with her friends to get a laugh, and tell funny or raunchy stories depending on her mood. She could make you crazy-frustrated one moment then say something to make you laugh so hard you had tears running down your cheeks – at the same time, and you never knew what she would say next…
Fran was a self-described “horse-aholic.” She loved her horses, Fancy, Valentina, and Shadow. Fran was also extremely proud of her granddaughter Ariana and Ariana shared Fran’s passion for horses! When Ariana visited, she would help Fran with feeding and barn cleaning chores. Ariana was able to train and ride with confidence from a very young age. Fran took Ari on trail rides to North Texas and Southern Oklahoma, where they would meet up with Fran’s “horse-aholic” girlfriends.
Fran was extremely creative. She designed and built stain glass art often horses and cowboys or fishing and golfing at Robert’s request. She decorated her home and office with these treasures. She loved to restore antique furniture.
She was cherished and loved mightily and will be missed by all who knew her.
