Frances was born on February 23, 1930, in Emory, to Eli and Sally Allred. She was a one-of-a-kind lady! She worked many years in Dallas before retiring to Emory to raise her sons, Paul and David, in the country. Frances continued to worked several years as secretary for Lake Fork Reservoir. Later, she worked another 10-12 years as secretary for the Justice of Peace, Cobb Stuart. She was a member of Emory Baptist Church. She loved her morning Bible Study and she loved the Lord with all her heart. "She was a great cook" remembers Paul and David, "We always had a wonderful Thanksgiving, just the three of us, and whatever dog we had at the time". She was a good Mom. She was also famous for her canned apples apple pie, the recipe was on the can, but no one could make it like her! She loved to dress real nice and to wear her "BLING"! She liked to be fixed up pretty, head to toe!
During her years at Senior Care of Lake Pointe she got up every morning, got dressed and ready and went to Bible Study. She became somewhat of a celebrity at Senior Care. Some called her Marilyn Monroe...probably because of the hair. She had a natural talent for painting, which she loved, and gave her great pleasure during her later years. Everyone wanted her to paint something for them. She also made the cover for a brochure in advertisement of the Senior Care of Lake Pointe, also, used on their website. Everyone at the facility loved her including the cooks, the housekeeping department, as well as, the nursing staff and the doctors. She enjoyed the attention and love and was quick to return her love to everyone.
