Frankie Perkins, a heavy equipment operator, passed away at home on March 13, 2024. He was born to James Perkins and Winnie Judge on May 23, 1967, in Farmersville, Texas.
Frankie is survived by his wife, Julie McWhorter; children, Abby Perkins and Justin Perkins; sisters, Mary Jane Fienen and Rebecca Perkins.
Frankie lived in Rains County for over 20 years. He was laid back and loved to get the day started and hit the ground running every morning. He was a fun person who devoted his life to his children, being a “hands on dad.” He loved to make them smile and spent any time he could with them. He was wise like an owl and stubborn like a bull, and no one could tell him anything. He made sure to get everything out of life that he possibly could. He is known for the huge heart that he had for animals. He would buy bags of animal food and feed the strays. Frankie was quite the character, with each new chapter came a fun new story of his life. He will be greatly missed.
A memorial gathering will take place at 2:00 P.M. at Tawakoni City Park on Sunday, the 24th of March.
