Jack Stone, 85 of Emory passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on Tuesday, October 4, 2022.
He was born on January 26, 1937 to John Fred and Susie Mae Morris Stone in San Antonio, Texas.
On February 17, 1956 Jack married the love of his life, Helen Hatley in Hugo Oklahoma. They made their home in Emory where they raised their children. Jack spent his life in the trucking business either driving or working on them. He was a respected member of the trucking industry, retiring from driving at the age of 75, but continued to give direction and advice to other drivers even after he became ill.
Jack is survived by his wife of 66 years, Brothers, Jimmie & Johnnie and wife, Jan, brother-in-law, Pat Hatley. Son, Wesley Stone & Tammy, Daughter, Carol Scott and husband Ricky, Grandchildren, Tim & April, Kandi & David, Sasha & Jason, Billy Jack & Christine, Presley, Lexie. Great-grandchildren, DJ, Alex & Victoria, Jordyn & Kordell, Katelynn & AJ, Elizabeth, Micah, Kagen, Haiden, Dallas, Eli, Hatley, Bryan, Cooper & Harper. Great-great-grandchildren, Arthur and soon to be born Cooper & Adilyn, Numerous nieces and nephews, and friends that they considered family, Amanda and Tara.
He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter in law, Debbie Stone.
