Jackie Smith

Jackie Lee Smith, age 63, of Emory, passed away Friday, September 9, 2016 at his home.

Full military funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am, Wednesday, September 14, 2016, at Lake Fork Baptist Church in Alba. Visitation will be at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday evening 5-7 PM. Interment will be at Lake Fork Memorial Cemetery in Alba with a military detail present.

Jackie was born in Greenville on June 10, 1953 to Willie Jackson and Gladys Calhoun Smith. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He married Linda Sue Cates Mason in Durant, OK on September 1, 1988. He worked as a printing press operator at a printing production company.

Survivors include:
Wife: Linda Smith of Emory;
Daughter & Son-in-law: Jessica Burris (Randall) of Sulphur Springs;
Step-daughter: Dusty Norris (Phil Starkes) of Emory;
Step-son: Danny Mason, Jr. (Dana) of Princeton;
Grandson: Christopher Mason (Ashlei) of Royse City;
Great-grandsons: Piercen and Oaklee Burris of Sulphur Springs;
Great-granddaughter: Hazlei Mason of Royse City;
Brothers: David Smith (Jean) of Grand Prairie; Billy Wayne Smith (Judy) of San Antonio; and Roger Dail Smith of Greenville;
Sister: Carol Woodworth of Greenville
Nieces and Nephews: Tracey Fields, Lisa Brooke, Tammy Middleton, and Kyle Goen

Funeral service at Lake Fork Baptist Church on FM 515 in Alba 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 14, 2016.

Take HWY 69 North thru Alba, about 2 miles turn right on FM 2795. Go about one mile to Bright Star Church. Turn right on county road 3480 just past church. Stay on 3480 straight ahead at the V in the road. Cemetery is about 1/2 mile on right past church.
