James "Jim" Mitchell Huneycutt, age 92, of Yantis, passed away suddenly Sunday, March 25, 2018,
at Christus Mother Frances Hospital in Sulphur Springs.
He was born Dec. 22, 1925, in Fordyce, AR to Leminal Jason and Tessie Wood Huneycutt.
Mr. Huneycutt married Ima Jewell Busby, in Dallas, on July 28, 1962. They moved to Amarillo in 1967, and remained there until their move to Yantis in 2000. Jim was self-employed as an appliance refinisher...back in the day, that occupation was
a real talent, and Jim was the best at it! He was a member of Hopewell Primitive Baptist Church.
He enjoyed times spent with his family, and, especially with his boys.
He, and that quick smile, will be greatly missed!

Wife: Jewell Huneycutt of Yantis
Sons: Jayson Huneycutt (Stephanie) of Spring; and,James Don Huneycutt (Alyne) of Amarillo
Brother: Hadley Huneycutt of Yantis
Sister: Darlene Wilson of Quitman
Preceded in death by: Parents; Brothers, Adrian Huneycutt, Newt Huneycutt, and Wayburn Huneycutt; and, Sister, Manie Watson
