James F Ramsey

James Ferrell Ramsey was born November 27th, 1948 in Greenville, Texas to Farris Ramsey and Mona Lee Bishop Ramsey. He passed on January 11, 2023 in Sulphur Springs, Texas. He worked on a family dairy for over 40 years. A man of routine, he enjoyed milking cows and especially driving tractors no matter what the job. In all his years farming and daily trips to town, he never met a stranger around Emory. Recognizing God’s call for change, he obeyed the gospel and was baptized into Christ in July of 2008. He faithfully attended Shady Grove Baptist Church.

James is survived by his three brothers, Norman & Lollie Ramsey of Emory, Lynn Ramsey & Carla of Emory, Hershel & Karen Ramsey of Mineola, 9 nieces and nephews, and a host of great nieces and nephews.

James was preceded in death by his parents. The family would like to share a special thanks to the Carriage House Manor Nursing Home staff and Choice Hospice for their wonderful and compassionate care.
