Janie Darlene Whitley

Janie “Sissy” Darlene Whitley, age 53 of Quinlan, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at 7:10 am in Plano. Janie was born on January 18, 1969, in Dallas to James Kenneth Whitley Sr., and Shearon Louise Pennington Whitley. She worked as an office manager at PRM Communication LLC and attended Round Flat Pentecostal Church of Fruitvale. Sissy was a loving mother, sister, spouse, aunt and friend, and will be greatly missed by those she leaves behind.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Katlyn Bryant; brother, Bobby Whitley; two sets of grandparents, two uncles and an aunt.

She is survived by her daughter, Kylie Bryant of Emory; son, Lee Bryant of Emory; boyfriend, Randy Malone of Quinlan and his four daughters; parents, Kenneth and Shearon Whitley of Emory; brothers, Kenny Whitley and wife Jennifer of Emory, Donnie Whitley and wife Gwen of Caddo Mills; sister-in-law, Rachel Whitley; eleven nieces and nephews, and eighteen great nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Round Flat Pentecostal Church, 3480 VZ County Rd 1910. Fruitvale, TX 75127, Bro. Homer Morgan officiating. Visitation will start one hour before the service at 10:00 am, interment will follow at Smyrna Cemetery in Emory.
