John Little, a devoted missionary, master electrician, and published author, gracefully departed this world on January 16, 2025 in Lenoard, Texas, at the age of 70. Born on July 7, 1954 to Phil and Gail Little in Brownsville, Texas. John lived a life rich with purpose and passion, embodying kindness, selflessness, and an unwavering love for Jesus.
John demonstrated a fervent commitment to his faith. He was not just a believer but a messenger, often found sharing the good news of Jesus wherever he went. Whether through his vibrant street preaching or his compassionate ministry to the elderly, widows, orphans, and widowers, John’s heart knew no bounds. His Ministry, Mission of Hope was a testament to his deep-seated belief in uplifting those around him, offering both comfort and spiritual guidance.
Beyond his spiritual pursuits, John was a master electrician, taking great pride in his work. He approached every task with skill and dedication, always seeking to uplift those he worked with. His proudest accomplishments did not merely reside in professional accolades but lay in the love and support he gave to his family. Having been married to his beloved wife for 25 years, John cherished every moment spent with her and their children, making family his foremost pride and joy.
John was also a gifted writer, finding solace and expression through the written word. His creativity flowed beyond telling stories; it poured into his love for music, as he strummed his guitar with joy and passion, often filling the air with melodies that echoed his heartfelt beliefs. Moreover, he dedicated his time coaching youth sports, imparting lessons of teamwork, perseverance, and kindness to young minds.
Known for his good sense of humor and kind-hearted nature, John was matter of fact, bold, tell it like it is kind of guy, effortlessly drawing others in with his warmth and compassion. His laughter created bonds, turning strangers into friends who would come together under the umbrella of his generous spirit.
As we remember John Little, we celebrate a man who lived with intention, driven by his faith and love for others. His legacy remains alive in the hearts of those he touched, a beautiful reminder of the impact one life can have. He now rests, embraced by the love he so freely shared, leaving behind a world that is forever changed by his presence.
He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Little; children, Jayme Little, Seandee Regan, Charity Little; grandchildren, Jaiden, Jaycee, Ella, Lucchese; greatgrandchildren, Swayzee and Hayz; brother and sisters, Patrica Farmer, Brad and Amy Little, Kelly and Gayland Gilbert, Sandra Marsh, Larry and Cathy Songer, Mark Songer, Tammy and le McDonald, Vicky Quattlebaum; Aunt Dorothy Watson, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
John is preceded in death by his parents, Phil little and Gail and Sam Songer.
