John and Wilma Bullock

Funeral and Memorial services for John and Wilma Bullock of Point, Texas will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Chapel. Private Family Interment will be held at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation will be held at 6:00pm-8:00pm Monday, May 3, 2021 at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be officiated by Reverend Dee Threatt and Reverend Ray Bullock.

John Bell Bullock Jr. and Wilma Nell Day Bullock died together on April 27, 2021, in Emory. Mr. Bullock was born on March 14, 1937, to Auroroa (Sally) and John Bell Bullock Sr.  in Eureka, Calif. Wilma Nell Day was born on March 14, 1943, to Irene and Roland Day. John Bullock Jr. and Wilma Day were married on November 27, 1964, at Locust Grove Baptist Church in Wills Point.

Mr. and Mrs. Bullock are survived by their daughter, Diana Threatt and husband Dee of Hutto; grandchildren, Tabitha Kay Threatt of San Antonio, Timothy John Threatt and wife Olivia of Houston, and Talitha DeeAnn Threatt of Galveston; Mr. Bullock’s brothers, Reverend Pat Bullock and wife Nancy of Corpus Christi and Reverend Ray Bullock and wife Eileen of Alpine; Mr. Bullock’s sister, Shirley Jakeway and husband Mike of Suffolk, Va.; Mrs. Bullock’s brother, Joe Day of Quinlan, Mrs. Bullock’s sister, Shirley Franklin of Wills Point; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The couple was preceded in death by a son, John Bell Bullock III; both sets of parents; and Mrs. Bullock’s brother, Danny Day.

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Samaritan’s Purse International Relief.
