Joyce Shipp

Joyce Shipp, age 78, of Emory, passed away Friday, September 8, 2017, at her home.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at 2:00 PM at Emory Baptist Church with Bro. Joe Perkins and Bro. Rodney Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Pilgrim Rest #1 Cemetery. Visitation will be at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home on Monday evening 6-8 PM.

Joyce was born on December 4, 1938, in Corsicana, TX, to Aubrey Lee and Vesta Lee Kelly Fitzgerald. She married Kenneth Ward Shipp on April 4, 1959, in Rockwall. They have been married 58 years and have 3 wonderful daughters. Joyce was a homemaker all her life and enjoyed every minute of it! She was a long time member of Emory Baptist Church and part of the Maranatha Sunday School Class family. She was a huge Texas Rangers fan and rarely missed a game! She was Memaw to her grandbabies and she loved them more than anything!

Survivors include:

Husband: Kenneth Shipp of Emory;

3 Daughters: Kim Goodwin (Trent) of Lindale, Alisha Jaeger (Scott) of Emory, and Katrina Elliott (Eddie) of Emory;

1 Sister: Nell Smith of Corsicana;

1 Brother: Aubrey Lee "Bubba" Fitzgerald of Blooming Grove;

8 Grandchildren: Josh Busby, Trey Goodwin, Jill Casebeer, Benjamin Jaeger, Savannah Elliott, Caleb Jaeger, Elissa Elliott and Ethan Elliott;

5 Great-grandchildren: Emmersyn, Lakeyn, Holden, Everly and Willow;

Numerous other loving family and friends;
