Garth Looney, age 88, of Brashear..(Emory area)...passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at his residence.
He was born June 25, 1928, in Emory, to Keiffer Franklin and Susan Vera Potts Looney.
Garth served our country in the U.S. Army.
He was a rancher and dairy farmer.
He loved trail riding with his friends and anything that involved horses, mules, or cows. He was an all around "country boy".
Garth belonged to Emory United Methodist Church.
He was a devoted Christian man, and lived his life serving his Lord, Jesus Christ. He loved his children and grandchildren.
Garth had many friends. He played the piano and sung at numerous funerals over the years. He was a sincere and sentimental man...showing his true feelings, sympathy, and love for the families
he helped.
Garth will be missed in so many ways.

Special friend: Patrick Bentley (Jackie) of Wimberly;
Foster-sons: Robert Sgroe (Shirley) of Sulphur Springs; and
Donnie Tolar (Jennifer) of Brashear;
Nieces: Candy Husband, Pam Husband, and Pricilla Husband;
Nephew: Larry Looney (Pat) of Sulphur Springs;
Grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Kaci, Dustin and Lucas;
Dear friends: Joe and Peggy Weatherly; James and Melinda McLemore; and Jewel Cooper;
Preceded in death by: Parents; Brother, Jim Looney; Sisters, Avis Grayson and Mary Husband
