LC Pruiett

May 7, 1934 — September 19, 2017

LC Pruiett, age 83, of Winnsboro, formerly of Pickton, Sulphur Springs and Midland, passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2017, at Christus Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Winnsboro.
LC was born on May 7, 1934, in Lamesa,TX to Walter Henry and Martha Madry Pruiett.
LC was born during hard times...and, he was one of 15 children who were all very close. During their younger lives...the children all had to pick cotton, or other crops along with the adults to make a living....for shelter, and food....everyone worked...the depression was still going on for many. For this reason, LC along with all his siblings learned to work, and work hard for a living...this character trait was instilled in them...and stayed with them throughout their lives...and, these traits were passed on to their children.
He was a hard working, self-employeed brick layer for the majority of his working years.

He had three beautiful children. He was a Christian and loved the Lord. He loved his children and grandchildren very much! Family meant the world to LC, and although he enjoyed spending time with them doing anything, he always enjoyed going fishing with the kids. His favorite times were when his children, grandchildren, and all the family gathered in the back yard...or on the front porch and would have a good old fashion "Pickin and Grinnin"...singing and playing any of the musical instruments he loved, and he had taught himself to play like the guitar, fiddle, violin, banjo, mandolin, harmonica, and steel guitar. He was a generous and giving man....and, would help anyone at any time.
His children always said.. "He was the best brick layer in the whole world!!"
