Lula Fenter

November 22, 1932 — May 17, 2014

Lula May Fenter, 81, of Royse City, formerly of Point, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2014, at her home. Funeral service scheduled for Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at 1:00 PM, at First Baptist Church of Point. Bro. Keith Cogburn officiating. Visitation 1 hour prior to service from 12:00 - 1:00 PM at the church. Burial will follow at Memoryland Memorial Park in Greenville.

Lula was born November 22, 1932 to Argie B. and Dellar May McBride White in Point. She married Johnny Lee Fenter on August 5, 1950, in Point, he preceded her in death.

She retired after working some 40+ years as office personnel at Sears & Roebuck Company in Dallas. She had many friends who worked with her there.

She was the true "Matriarch" of her family, the glue that held them all together, a pillar of strength, and the person who everyone would call for guidance and advice. She managed to bring out the best in people. Her family was the most important part of her life. She loved cooking family holiday meals and relished in making the full spread for them. Her Watergate salad was always her signature dish. The most popular table at holidays was always the "goodie table" where she made her wonderful chocolate no bake cookies, Martha Washington candies, Texas trash, White trash and other goodies!

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Point.

She was well respected, loved by all who knew her, and she will be greatly missed.
