Mary Burns

Funeral services for Mary Ann Burns, age 81, of Emory, Texas, will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel in Emory, with Bro. Jimmy Jarrett and Bro. Robert Burns Officiating. Visitation will be at 10:00 AM Saturday.

Mary passed away on Tuesday evening June 26, 2018 at Carriage House in Sulphur Springs, Texas.

She was born on April 11, 1937 in Emory, the daughter of William Newton and Mattie Mae Ellis Harvey. She attended school in Emory. Mary and Edward Drue Burns, Jr. were Married on August 28, 1954 in Dallas. Mary was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Emory. During her working career she was a checker in a grocery store.

Mary is survived by her husband, Edward Burns of Emory; two sons, Eddie Burns and wife, Janice of Emory and Ronnie and wife, Penny of Point.

Grandchildren: Tracy Burns and wife, Rachel, Sarah Ivie and husband, Ryan, and Rachel Burns.

Great-grandchildren: Jaycee Ivie and Addyson Ivie. Numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers, Elmer Harvey, Perry Harvey and Joe Harvey; and one sister, Mildred Harvey Threatt.
