Mary Ramsey

Mary Catherine Ramsey, 81, of Point, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at her home. Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 28, at 2 PM, at Miracle Faith Baptist Church (on Hwy 276 toward Quinlan). Bro. Todd McGahee will officiate. Interment will follow in the Shirley Cemetery (Hwy 19 N of Emory). Visitation is scheduled for Friday evening, June 27, from 6-8 PM at the Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel in Emory.

Mary was born in Silo, OK on May 23, 1933 to James Anderson and Ola Retha Kennedy Defer. She married Henry Lee Ramsey in Denison on September 6, 1948. Her profession was a loving mother of 9 and homemaker. She was a member of Miracle Faith Baptist Church.

Survivors include:
Daughters: Pamela Pruitt, and husband, Keith, of Point; Tammie Cruise, and husband, Zach, of Gainesville; Lynn Peek, and husband, Bobby, of Greenville; and Gina Smith, and husband, Bruce, of Royse City

Sons: Kenneth Ramsey, and wife, Cindy, of Emory; Bruce Ramsey, and wife Joy, of Bryan; Donnie Ramsey, and wife, Felicia, of Mesquite; Jamie Ramsey, and wife, Donna, of Alba; and David Ramsey of Longview

Sister: Sandra Taylor of Emory

Grandchildren: 24

Great-grandchildren: 22

Great-great-granddaughter: 1

Numerous other loving family and friends.
