Oakley Anne Morgan, known affectionately as "Little Love Bug," passed away on February 2, 2024, in Sulphur Springs, Texas. Born on February 2, 2024, to Joshua and Abbie in Sulphur Springs, Oakley brought immense joy and love into the lives of her family.
From the moment she was conceived, Oakley captured the hearts of everyone around her. She was very much loved by her parents Josh and Abbie, as well as her siblings, Parker and Axle. Her brothers and her shared a bond as they helped prepare things for “the baby." Parker would share he wanted to teach her things and Axle just wanted to know when she would be “picked up”. She truly adored her dad and would sit still whenever he spoke to her and when he would laugh she would give a little extra kick.
Oakley had a sassy personality that shone through whenever her mom's tummy was touched or when her mom was feeling stressed from exams, Oakley would react in a way that showcased her strong spirit. This spirit made Abbie laugh and helped her through her stressful days at school. Her reactions became endearing traits that added to her unique charm.
One of Oakley's greatest passions was music. While she had different reactions to her mom's choice of music compared to her dad's selection, she had a knack for picking out her own favorites. Abbie knew the moment she first heard “You’re gonna be” and how Oakley moved to it that it was going to be her lullaby, so while driving to or from school she sung it to Oakley every day. Music held a special place in Oakley's personality and brought joy and happiness to her.
Josh had said, “our little girl is going to be a star”. He already knew she would be a star, one day – and now the second star in the tail of the Big Dipper is registered to her. He knew that Oakley would shine brightly like a star for eternity.
Her memory will forever be cherished by those who survive her - dad, Joshua Morgan; mom, Abbie Otlo; brothers, Parker and Axle Morgan; grandparents, Gary and Judy Otlo and Danny and Lee Morgan, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Services to celebrate Oakley's life will take place at Wilson - Orwosky Funeral Home, located at 803 N. Texas St., Emory, Texas 75440. The visitation will be held on February 9, 2024, from 11:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 12:00 PM.
Oakley Anne Morgan may have spent a short time with us physically, but her impact and the love she brought into our lives will forever hold a special place in our hearts. May she rest in peace as she finds her place among the stars.
