From the moment she became a nurse in 1983, Rhonda poured her heart into her profession, working in home health. Her commitment to caring for others was unrivaled; she didn’t just provide medical assistance but built strong and lasting connections with each person she encountered. Rhonda took her duty to help others in their time of need very seriously, and her patients were not merely recipients of care but rather cherished individuals with whom she fostered deep, meaningful relationships.
Rhonda possessed a loving and kind personality yet also had a stubborn streak that highlighted her determination and resilience. Her spirit was one that naturally extended to everyone around her, as she continually sought to lend a helping hand to those in need. She created a world where everyone felt valued and loved. She met and married Roy Simmons and they spent 42 beautiful years together making memories and building a life.
Rhonda’s interests and passions extended beyond her nursing career. An enthusiastic cook, she delighted in preparing meals for family and friends. She also cherished her time outdoors, particularly during deer season which became one of her favorite annual traditions. She looked forward to camping at the deer lease, where she created countless memories.
She is survived by her loving husband, Roy Simmons; mother, Maxine Foster; children, Chad Simmons, Kimber and David Combs; grandchildren, C.J. Simmons, Cortni Simmons, Chelsie and Michael Stafford, Dawayne and Chloe Arbour, Emelyn Dulude, Sadie Dulude, Kendall Combs, Braeley Combs; great-great grandchildren, Luke Spence, Audrey Spence, Hopelynn Lee, Nova Lee Arbour, Michael Arbour; sister, Susan Foster.

Her commitment to care, kindness, and love remains a testament to the remarkable woman she was.
