Richard "Dick" Law

Richard Law, born on September 14, 1949, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2025. A man deeply cherished by those who knew him, Richard was known for his vibrant personality, which shone through in his playful nature as a jokester. His carefully crafted jokes, which were often as alarming as they were humorous, brought joy and laughter to family and friends alike. He was a loving, kind, and affectionate individual whose presence warmed the hearts of many.

Richard served honorably in the Army for twelve years, during which he completed one tour in Korea, two tours in Vietnam, and two tours in Germany. His military service was one of his proudest accomplishments, reflecting not only his bravery and dedication but also his commitment to his country. Beyond his service, Richard took immense pride in his family, his children, and his wife, considering his marriage another significant achievement in his life.

In addition to his military career and family life, Richard pursued a variety of hobbies that showcased his creativity and craftsmanship. He enjoyed fishing, where he found peace. His passion for crafts, leather working, woodworking, and ceramics allowed him to express himself artistically while also creating cherished items that will be remembered by his loved ones.

Dick is survived by his wife, Frankie; daughters, Tamara Weatherspoon and Kenneth, Karen William and David, Melissa Neufeld and Brian; grandchildren, Chrystal Sowell, Tabatha Sowell, Cassidy Sowell, Lindsey Williams, Lauren Williams, Lance Williams, Justin Neufeld, Makayla Smith, Taryn Neufeld; great grandchildren, Abigail, Alaina, Kayliegh, Jaycee, Luke, London, James; sisters Doris, Betty, Joyce Dee.

He is preceded in death by his parents, J.D. Law and Emma Scott; siblings, Maurice “Sonny” Law, Marvin “Buddy” Law, Katherine Guffy.
