Ricky Joe Scott Sr. was born September 29, 1955 to Billy Joe Scott and Anne (Owens) Scott in Belle Glade, Florida. He moved to Texas in his early teens. Ricky started driving a truck at a young age with his dad, hauling cows from Florida to California. It was then he learned the importance of being a "Professional" Truck driver as he would say. Ricky worked many years for J. F. Stone Trucking and Jack Stone. This is where he met his wife, Carol Stone, they were married November 21, 1980 in Hugo, Oklahoma. They made their home in Rains County, living most of it in Point. Ricky continued to drive as a long distance driver until his retirement. He loved having Carol go with him as often as she could. His sons and grandsons also traveled with him on many trips.
Ricky is survived by his wife, Carol; mother, Anne Heady; step-mother, Brenda Scott; mother-in-law, Helen Stone; siblings, Billie Anne and Don Epperson, Tommy Scott, Glenn and Lorie Scott, Judy Scott, Karen Scott and John Brent Scott; brother-in-law, Wesley Stone & Tammy; children Priscillia and Jimmy Abrams, Ricky Jr and Jennifer Scott, Kandi and David Warren, Billy Jack and Christine Scott; grandchildren, DJ, Bailie and Austin, Katelyn, Jordyn and Kordell, Lacey, Braden, Micah, Kagen, Barrett, Eli, Noah, Hatley, Cooper, Harper; great-grandchildren, Milah and Cooper. Faithful companions Stella and Honey, also survived by Wendy Scott, Presley Sellers, Lexie Alexander and many nieces and nephews who loved their Uncle Ricky.
He is preceded in death by his father, Billy Joe Scott, step-father, Bill Heady, father-in-law, Jack Stone, brother, Sammy Scott, niece, Jessica Scott and sister-in-laws, Debbie Stone and Sheila Scott.
