Ruth Ivey

Ruth Marie Ivey, 90, of Rains County, passed away Thursday, May 22, at her home. Funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday, May 27, at 12:00 PM at the Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel in Emory with Bro. Joe Perkins officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM at the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Tyler.

Ruth was born on November 18, 1923 in Tyler to J.D. and Lillie Lowe Human. She married Thomas Jefferson Ivey on May 2, 1945 in Tyler.

She was a member of Emory Baptist Church.

Pallbearers: Jason Bedell; Nathan Ivey; Solomon Ivey; Stephen Ivey; Mark Jeffers; and Dallas Morris.

Survivors include: husband: Jeff Ivey; sons: Wayne Ivey and wife Louise of Rains County; and John Ivey and wife Kay of Files Valley; daughters: Ruthie Wilson of Ames, IA; and Karen Fraser Moore and husband Paul of Quincy, IL; sister: Johnnie Human of Tyler; grandchildren: 17; great-grandchildren: many; great-great-granddaughter: 1; numerous other loving family and friends.
