Sharon Pendleton, a beloved bookkeeper, horse trainer, and barrel racer, passed away on September 14th, 2023. She was a woman of remarkable character, known for her unwavering loyalty and sweetness. Sharon's warm smile and genuine kindness touched the lives of many.
She was born in Fort Worth, Texas on December 25th, 1948 to Frank Johnston and Jewel Alexander. Sharon is survived by James Pendleton, the love of her life. They were married in Dallas, Texas on December 22, 1966. The two were joined and inseparable for 57 years. Sharon had a special bond with horses and proudly owned three magnificent equines throughout her life. Her passion for these noble creatures extended beyond personal enjoyment, as she became an accomplished horse trainer and excelled in the thrilling sport of barrel racing.
Sharon's dedication to her craft was evident in the numerous accolades she earned over the years. Her remarkable skills and competitive spirit propelled her to win countless awards in barrel racing competitions, leaving spectators in awe of her talent. Her fearless determination on the racecourse was matched by her graceful presence off it.
While Sharon achieved great success in her career as a bookkeeper, it was her role as a mother that truly defined her. She cherished her family above all else and embraced every moment spent with them. As a devoted mother figure to 24 cats, Sharon tirelessly nurtured them, ensuring they felt loved and supported.
On September 23rd, 2023, Sharon's burial service will commence at 11:00 am and conclude at 11:30 am at Clifton Cemetery in Point, Texas to bid farewell to our dear Sharon Pendleton
Sharon Pendleton's legacy will endure through the memories she created and the lives she touched. Her warm heart, unwavering loyalty, and gentle spirit made her a cherished friend to many. She will be deeply missed, but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
