William Richard Griffin, born on January 27, 1941, passed away on December 23, 2024, leaving behind a legacy marked by kindness, love, and loyalty.
Richard was a devoted family man; he was married to Tommye Sue for 60 beautiful years until her passing in 2022. His love for his family was his proudest accomplishment, and he cherished the memories they created together.
A lover of Christ and the outdoors, Richard enjoyed fishing, camping, and checking out garage sales. He was known for his adventurous spirit, often seeking the tranquility of nature on trips to Colorado, as well as in hunting and camping excursions, with his faithful mules in tow. As the camp cook, he delighted in the simple pleasure of cooking over a fire, creating memorable meals that brought family and friends together.
Richard's personality shone brightly through his thoughtful interactions and caring nature. He will be remembered not just for his achievements but for the deep and lasting impact he had on the lives of those around him. His presence will be profoundly missed, yet his memory will continue to inspire and bring comfort to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Richard is survived by his daughter, Lori Dickens and husband Rex; grandchildren Hunter Dickens and wife Leah, Hannah Dickens and fiancé Kash Sisk; brother Covey Ben Griffin and wife Gigi Griffin; and nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Tommye Sue; their son, Baby Griffin; sister, Judith Kay and both of his parents.
