Willie Ely

Funeral service for Willie (Jodie) Ely, 85, of Emory, will be held Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, at 2:00 pm, at County Line Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Dougherty Cemetery. Bro. Jimmy Tarrant and Bro. Wayne Darty will officiate.
Visitation will be at 1:00 pm, one hour prior to service time, at the church.
Mr. Ely was born Dec. 21, 1928, in Point, to John Thomas and Annie Belle Coats Ely.
He married Myrtle Conley on November 22, 1991 in Point.
He was a member of County Line Baptist Church.
Jodie drove the senior citizen bus for N.E.T.O. for over 20 years.
Jodie died Sunday, December 29, 2013 at the Emory Senior Suite Care and Rehab.
Survivors include:
Sister, Helen Collins of Ft. Worth; and numerous loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.
He was preceded in death by: parents; wife, in 2005; 6 brothers; 2 sisters; and a step-daughter, Brenda Ferguson in 2005.
